SHARK ATTACK <<<
“There’s something else was wrong with Kulo, I don’t know what, but I have a feeling,” John said to Dan in a low worried voice.
They were both sitting on the stern watching their new friend. Kulo breathed out a huge gust of used air and water spray.
“Get of whiff of that,” Dan gasped. “She’s running rich, or I wouldn’t want to be a Whale.”
The smell of part digested something mixed with salt spray was not that
appetizing. “Feeling hungry skip?”
Then he remembered that ocean plastic, otherwise known as marine litter, acts like a sponge for toxins.
"Dan, do you know much about plastic waste?"
"A little. I've read dozens of stories about whale beachings, where the whale stomachs are full of plastic, when they perform an autopsy."
"And, whales have relatively small stomachs," said John, "but huge blubber reserves."
"So, could live for quite a while with a blocked digestive system." Dan chimed in.
They
needed professional medical assistance right away.

GRAPHIC NOVEL
The graphic novel translation omits many of the above chapters (in grey) entirely, and condenses others, aiming for a lively visual read.
This story is a modern Moby Dick, the twist being that there is a happy ending for everyone involved with the $Billion Dollar Whale, even the whalers. Herman Melville would have approved.
